Morning Preparation – Those Little Details

They may only seem little but these wedding details really help to build a picture of your day and thats is why I love to capture them from the very beginning! As i arrive at your morning preparations this is first on the list for photos, I therefore ask that you have all the details set aside for when I arrive so I can get to work straight away without needing to take you away from getting ready! As i’m capturing your details, you and your wedding party also have a few minutes to get used to the camera being around so you are nice and relaxed for your pictures.

So what morning details should you have ready? Again, this is up to you…but I thought I would put together a few of my favourite details with some tips to help you be prepared. Please remember this is only a guide so if you have something personal or special to your day, do let me know as I would love to include them! 

1. The Dresses

Top Tip : It’s always worth making the effort to find some pretty white or wooden hangers for the photos. You can also get personalised hangers which work great as bridesmaid gifts too! 

2. The Suits

Top Tip – Keep your suit and accessories all together so we can get a picture of your whole look!

3. The Shoes

Top Tip – Keep your morning stress free and make sure all labels are off the shoes before the day! 

4. The Flowers and Buttonholes

Top Tip – If the venue are storing the flowers somewhere cool for you, let me know advance so I can arrange to collect them earlier for these not to be missed detail shots! 

5. The Rings

Top Tip – One of my favourite details, the rings! If your not planning to wear your engagement ring on your wedding day then I recommend having it out on the morning of the wedding for the ring shot! 

7. Invitations 

This is where it all began so make sure to pack an invitation on the day to help build a picture of your day..

8. For Brides…

Here’s for all your personal details, perfume, jewellery, garters…something old….something borrowed….something blue? 

9. For Grooms..

Here’s for all your personal details, aftershave, jewellery, bow ties, pocket squares….
