A look back at 2019

January 4, 2020

And just like that, 2019 has come to an end…oh and what a year it has been with 37 beautiful wedding galleries, 10 wedding films, 2 vow renewals, 8 styled shoots, 3 styled workshops….it has been a busy but incredible year!

Heres how our year went….

Bryony and Robs day at Sheene Mill, followed by Laura and Matts wedding with an awesome helicopter arrival at Bassmead Barns..

Sophie and Micheals hot spring day at The Priory Barns, followed by Laura and Xanders beautiful wedding at Merriscourt…

In spring we worked on two creative projects, the first one at the stunning Barn at Alswick…we wanted to inspire couples that they can bring the outdoors in using floral structures.

The second creative shoot we worked on was at the stunning Rushton Hall where we opted for a beautiful outdoor courtyard setup..

We had a very busy spring back at some of our favourite venues and some new ones …Jessie and Jacob at South Farm and Charlotte and Paul at Quantock Lakes.

As summer hit we celebrated Amy and Michael at Latimer Place and Emma and Michael’s wedding at Eastington Park.

We attended our first workshop in May with Wild Ones..here were the results…

We started June with Amy and Toms wedding.. a new venue and one I have wanted to photograph for some time..Gaynes Park.

With it being summer meant we welcome the outdoor wedding

Next up was the lovely Kerry and Zack at Bedford Barns Hotel followed by Emily and Matthew who wed at the stunning Gosfield Hall.

In June we travelled to Santorini for Simona and Lees day…having photographed both their sisters weddings previously it was great to see all the family again for this wedding.

Enter July and we had three beautiful outdoor ceremonies..Simone and Abu at the beautiful Farmhouse at Redcoats and Matt and Kelly at our favourite South Farm and Steph and Jonny at Longstowe Hall…Oh you have to love summer for outdoor ceremonies!!

Another creative project..this time with the lovely Wildflower Wedding Planner…

Next up was the lovely Amy and Ross at Offley Place, Amanda and John at Whittlebury Hall and Katrina and Adam at Offley Place…

August brought us so many beautiful weddings, we got to try smoke bombs at Grace and Dans beautiful at Stubton Hall and I photographed an old school friend with Phil and Gemmas wedding.

The beginning of August did bring us some summer rain…but that didn’t stop my Kayleigh and Brendon nor Laura and Matt from having the best day despite the rain!

A very busy end of August with Jade and Alans wedding at Tewinbury Barn, Sam and Craig at The Priory and Steph and Chris’s wedding at South Farm..

And so we enter September…shorter days but some killer sunsets too! We loved Nicola and Jacks day at Milling Barn and Katie and Karl’s day at Stubton Hall.

September we travelled to the Lake district with a group of very talented wedding suppliers for another creative project. Sadly…it rained…and rained….and rained..nethertheless we carried on and got some photos that proof rain won’t stop you from getting beautiful imagery!

As September came to an end we had Sarah and Lukes wedding at the beautiful Granary Estates and Hannah and Andrews day at Hanbury Manor.

We were now into winter weddings with Tasha and Robs day at The Old Ely and Becky and Pauls wedding at The Barn at Redcoats..

At the end of October I travelled to Marrakesh with a group of very talented fellow photographers with Wild Ones Workshops. What an incredible experience two couples, two amazing settings – Oh and a camel!

More creative projects meant we worked with the lovely Miss Carlysle and co wedding planners. This was a winter inspired shoot with dried flowers at the lovely South Farm.

As the year came to an end we attended the amazing Dream Capture Workshops for a Christmas themed styled shoot! We loved their Christmas content which got us right in the mood for the Christmas break!

On the 29th December we captured our final wedding of the year…Jasmine and Tommy a beautiful day with the most beautiful December sunset!

As I come to the end of this blog post I can honestly say what a fantastic year 2019 was! A range of weddings in some beautiful venues. I really am lucky to call this my job. Thank you to my 2019 couples…this is for you guys! This was your year and I loved each and every wedding!
